FlipMargin
Terms of Use
Last updated 16 August 2026
What this is
FlipMargin is a bookkeeping app for people who buy things to resell them. It records what you paid, what you sold it for, and the fees in between, then produces summaries you can hand to whoever prepares your return.
Not tax advice
Read this one properly. FlipMargin is not an accountant. It does not file anything and it does not check your work. The Schedule C line mapping, the IRS standard mileage rate, and the 1099-K reconciliation are calculation aids built from published figures.
Your return is your responsibility. Talk to a professional about your actual tax situation.
Your licence
A personal, non-transferable licence to use FlipMargin on devices you own. You may not resell it, rent it out, or take it apart.
Pro
Pro unlocks unlimited items, the full analytics, tax exports, multiple photos per item, and Death Pile alerts. It is sold monthly, annually, or as a one-time purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Apple handles refunds; I cannot issue one.
Apple's standard terms apply alongside these: Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Your records are yours
You own what you enter, and I do not have a copy. If Pro lapses, logging and export keep working on the free tier, so your records are never locked in.
No warranty
FlipMargin is provided as it is. I do not promise it is free of defects, or that a number it shows is right for your circumstances. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for lost profits, lost records, or indirect loss arising from using it.
Keep your own backups. Export regularly.
Changes
If these terms change, so does the date at the top. Carrying on using the app means you accept the current version.
